Unlimited Faith in God’s Word

The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Every day our society, culture, and event around the world challenge if God exist or if the bible is true. Is it possible to have faith in any god, let alone the God of Israel from the bible in a fallen, dangerous world, growing ever more secular?

Numeric Discrepancies in Bible Translation

Sometimes there are numerical and mathematical discrepancies between bible translations. Example: in 2 Sam 15:7 Absalom worked on his coup of David’s kingdom for 40 years in some translations, but four years in other translations. What do we do about those?

Love Your Enemies

Often people want vengeance and revenge for injustices and wrongs done by other people to them, but they themselves want mercy when they wrong others. If you are not willing to show mercy, then you should not expect mercy in your life (Lev 19:18, Matt 6:14-15, Col 3:13). True justice is given out by God (Deut 32:35, Prov 20:22, Prov 24:29), so people should only respond in love, their enemies can be humbled into shame for how they treated others and repent. If they refuse then God will condemn them. In the meantime, we must love our enemies (Prov 25:21-22, Matt 5:43-48, Luke 6:27-28, Rom 12:14-21).

Big Bang Cosmology and the Bible

Do really faraway stars prove that the universe is billions of years old? Doesn’t that conflict with the Bible? Has the speed of light always been the fasting thing in the universe? It is possible that the speed of light is not truly known? Or maybe it was briefly faster than it was now? Inflation Theory seems to suggest so and it was thought of to correct the LTT (Light Time Travel) problem with the Big Bang model. The Speed of light is based on light’s two-way speed, that is the speed going the distance away from an emitter and round trip back after bouncing off a surface. What we call the speed of light, is not a measurement of a one-way trip from one location to another, so we don’t truly how light speed works. Science only knows so much. Here are some things to ponder on the subject.

The Choice of Life or Death

In Deut 30:19 God says, “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!”

Previously, I wrote an article called “Contraception in the Bible”, which may lead some to ask if abortion is a form of contraception. What is the definition of abortion and does it match the definition of murder?

Heaven Is A Kingdom Not A Democracy

If a person doesn’t agree with God’s teaching and instructions now, then why should they expect to submit to him in the Kingdom of Heaven? Why should God even accept them into the kingdom if they don’t even trust, accept, and agree with his word and instructions? Most people wouldn’t move to a foreign country that enforced laws they don’t agree with, so why would any choose God’s Kingdom if they don’t like its ruler or laws?
